is the ‘dual coat’ method. This involves
coating clear or tinted glass with silver and then
layering protective coats of copper and coats of paint
which help protect the mirror from attack by corrosive
substances and physical abrasion. The most recent technology
in mirror manufacturing developed by Glaverbel is Miralux
New Generation, which is copper and lead free and offers
longer resistance to corrosion and aggressive chemical
agents than conventional mirrors.
